Maloney Properties, Inc. opened for business on May
1, 1981, to provide professional property management
services to housing owners who are committed to the
interests and well being of the resident population
that the housing serves. Originally organized by Mark
Maloney, the firm is a successful women owned business
and is operated by a ten member Board of Directors,
all of whom have worked in the industry for at least
twenty years.
In addition to its ten principals, Maloney Properties
has an excellent professional staff of senior executives.
With their diverse talents, backgrounds, skills and
experience, the company is able to offer a broad and
highly qualified range of services, which fully encompasses
the physical, financial and social needs of the properties
it manages.
Currently, Maloney Properties manages over eighty
housing developments containing approximately 8,000
units of housing. These properties, consisting of townhouse
communities and luxury high-rise developments are
primarily located in Boston, and the Greater Boston
area. The properties include condominiums, cooperatives,
and rentals and are owned primarily by non-profit
community development corporations and resident associations.
Maloney Properties, Inc. specializes in the management
and marketing of large residential properties including
newly constructed properties and properties going through
major rehabilitation. The firm has participated in
the development of many newly constructed properties,
including Rollins Square in the South End and West
End Place in the Old West End neighborhood of Boston.
Many of the newly constructed properties that Maloney
Properties manages are specifically designed for elders,
some of which include enhanced services and assisted
living services.
With its diverse workforce of over 350 employees, more than 50% of whom are African-American, Latino and Asian, the
company is able to provide management services that
reduce or eliminate cultural and linguistic barriers.
Maloney Properties is a certified Women Business Enterprise
(WBE) and an African-American woman owns 18% of the
firm.
