Our Information Technology Department under the direction of Melissa Andrews provides a full range of technical services to our management portfolio. Our experienced technical staff purchases, installs, and supports all of the computer equipment and software needed for site staff to efficiently manage daily operations. All management offices are equipped with Virtual Private Network (VPN) networked, Internet enabled, Windows based PC's with productivity and security software from Microsoft and McAfee.
Maloney Properties utilizes Yardi Voyager, a web-based, fully-integrated property management system. Yardi Voyager allows for the effective management of unit and project-based subsidies, low income tax credit, market rate and commercial properties. Maloney Properties has also used Yardi Voyager to streamline other property management processes such as Waitlist and Maintenance Management. The major benefit of the web-based system is that both site staff and central office staff have immediate access to real-time data, anywhere, 24/7. No batch processing or linking of property management software to accounting software is needed. All information is stored in a continuously backed up database.
We stay at the forefront of innovation in the application of information technology, regularly examining operating procedures in conjunction with advances in software and hardware technology. We beta test many new systems, and implement those we find improve reliability, accuracy, productivity and cost-effectiveness in management. Innovations such as check scanning, document and invoice scanning, and handheld devices for maintenance workers are being implemented. We have been very proactive in privacy act issues and compliance.
