Erik Thelen oversees a diverse portfolio of senior and family housing in Chinatown, East Boston, Lynn, Quincy, Danvers, Framingham and Haverhill. Working closely with all stakeholders, Erik specializes in the management of successful refinancing, restructuring and large-scale capital improvement projects, and he has participated in the development of sustainable energy conservation programs for Public Housing Authorities and other real estate owners. Erik holds his Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) designation through the National Center for Housing Management (NCHM), and currently holds a C9P designation as a Low Income Housing Tax Credit Certified Credit Compliance Professional with Spectrum Seminars.
Erik joined the Maloney team in 2003, bringing extensive experience managing both market rate and affordable communities, including those with state/federal subsidy programs and Low Income Housing Tax Credits. Prior to joining Maloney he managed a diverse portfolio of subsidized and market rate developments, bank foreclosures, distressed properties, commercial rentals and fee management assignments, for two large firms. Erik is a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Business Administration and is a member of the Salem High School Electrical Advisory Committee. Erik enjoys the winter and summer months, especially the time spent with his family in New Hampshire.
