Jennifer Kadilak, LICSW and Director of Resident Services for Maloney Properties, Inc. (MPI), presented two programs in a workshop series organized by Vermont Resident Service Coordinators (VRSC), and sponsored by MPIVHFA, VHMA, Winooski Housing Authority, and Shires Housing

Assess and Address: The Basics of Working with Mental Health Issues
Training in the basics of working with residents who may be experiencing mental health issues. Tips, techniques, and other valuable tools for staff competency in assessment and response to behaviors and symptoms, recognizing escalating behaviors, knowing your impact, and maintaining safety.

Assess and Address Part 2: Managing Current Mental Health Issues
Building upon the previous workshop, Part 2 used current examples from VRSC members experiences, along with breakout sessions for in depth peer review and analysis.

“The programs were very enthusiastically received. The subject matter is very relevant to Resident Service Coordinators, and really anyone in the housing industry that works directly with residents… Jennifer has very extensive knowledge and years of experience in her field.”—Doug Hemmings, President, VRSC
